About

My name is Michael Finnegan. I am a registered nurse and an instructor at the Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing. I am a full time instructor. I teach a critical care didactic nursing course and I teach a separate intensive care clinical course in a local hospital. I am in the writing phase of my dissertation and expect to graduate this year with a PhD in nursing. I am certified in critical care. I belong to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Eastern Nurses Research Society (ENRS), American Association of Men in Nursing. (AAMN) I have been a nurse for 38 years. I have experience as an educator, administrative nurse and staff nurse. I have additional administrative experience in long term care. I maintain a part-time nurses job in the Medical Intensive Care Unit of a local hospital. My dissertation topic is: Male nurses perception of gender bias and stereotyping. over time (5 decades)..
