In addition, Steve is a board director for Extended Stay America (NYSE: STAY), where he sits on the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee; board director for Visions, New York, a nonprofit focused on the needs of the visually impaired; and visiting clinical assistant professor for NYU’s School of Professional Studies-School of Hospitality and Tourism. He is a former adjunct faculty member for Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration.

Previously, Steve spent two-and-a-half decades at Goldman Sachs, where he founded and built the firm’s Global Hospitality Investment Research Practice, drove the inception and expansion of the Goldman Sachs Hospitality Conference and G2E Investors Forum, and became widely recognized for correctly calling the hotel subsector six times.

Steve holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, a CFA designation from the CFA Society, and a bachelor of arts in economics from SUNY at Stony Brook.
