Abstract

Subsequent chapters address the use of a neurodevelopmental assessment process as a starting point for promoting parents' understanding of their infants' patterns and selected situations where parent consultation about young infant behavior may be useful, such as in the cases of pre-term infants, neonatal abstinence syndrome or substance exposure, and excessive crying.
