A Walking Tour Down Broadway - Part 9 - NoMad - 31st St to Madison Square Park

Research & Scholarship: Non-textual formDigital or Visual Products

Abstract

Our walking tour down NYC's Broadway continues through NoMad - below 31st Street down to Madison Square Park. Often ignored today, there's a lot to see in this former theater center, that eventually became the wholesale district. A Confederate Plot here to burn down NY, the story of one of the city's most famous murders, visits to classic hotels and the former Tin Pan Alley music publishing district. And finally Madison Square Park-- one-time home of the Statue of Liberty's torch, and now the spot of a yummy Shake Shack that helped revive the neighborhood.
