Abstract

Book Abstract: Clinical Research Nursing is the specialization of professional nursing focused on maintaining equilibrium between care of the research participant and fidelity to the research process. The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN) Core Curriculum disseminates a standardized clinical research nursing training curriculum to support the core competencies defined in the organization's scope and standards of practice (2012), with the provision of specific content related to the practice of clinical research nurses. The content of the book goes through the unique body of knowledge of the clinical research nurse, including, nursing care, research regulations, the scientific process, and data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The content delves further into specifics, such as human subject protection, care coordination, and continuity, contributions to clinical science, and clinical practice as related to the clinical research nurse across all specialties. Clinical Research Nursing Core Curriculum is the book to use for all the needs of nurses practicing in clinical research studies and settings.
