 Case Study in Chapter 6
 
   Violence in acute care psychiatry continues to be a global problem. The safety and rights of both patients and staff need to be protected. Conflicting views exist as to how this can be accomplished. This Case Study discusses how setting public policy addressing this issue can lead to effective remedies and describes a specific program, based on evidence, was developed and initiated.
